Vehicle to be sold to the highest bidder. Minimum bid is $1,000.
TRICK OR TREAT
Trick or Treat in the Village of Milan is Saturday, November 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Beginning mid-October, Village residents may rake leaves into the curb line of the street but may not rake leaves into the street. We ask that residents rake leaves into small shallow piles or rows along the curb line.
Leaves that are mixed with grass trimmings, branches, brush or other non-leaf content will not be collected.
Leaf pickup will continue through mid-November.
COUNCIL MEETINGS AND PARTICIPATION
Due to the upcoming holidays, Milan Village Council has rescheduled the November and December Council Meetings. The new meeting dates will be Wednesday, November 19th and Wednesday, December 17th. Both meetings will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The Village of Milan welcomes an open door policy for any concerns or questions you may have. However, in an effort to help us be prepared, we require a 48 hour notice to be placed on our agenda. To be given the opportunity to speak under our Citizens Participation portion for no more than 10 minutes on your stated topic, please call Village Fiscal Officer Mary Bruno at 419-499-4481 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
MILAN GAS AGGREGATION PARTICIPANTS
The new rate for the Milan natural gas aggregation participants will be the fixed rate of $.0556 per CCF for the period of November 2014 through March 2015. Although Milan is not a provider for natural gas, we research the cost of natural gas to get the best available fixed rate at the time of each contract. All residents of the Village will qualify for this rate, however, they are not obligated in any way to participate in this program.
NEW REQUIREMENT FOR REPAIRING OR REPLACING ROOFS
Beginning April 1, 2013 the Village of Milan's Building Department (Huron Township) started the Roof Replacement Schedule. Huron Township started this Roof Replacement Schedule for two reasons. First, the Ohio Basic Building Standard recommends that they do inspections on new and/or repaired or replaced roofs. Second, they have had numerous complaints from owners that felt their roofs were not done properly. You can obtain your permit by calling Huron Township Building Department at 419-433-2755 or email Tammy Boos at email@example.com.
